This month’s Mapping 101 updates center around Making Data and creating GIS datasets, with a collection of software skills tutorials that aid in georeferencing, digitizing, and geocoding source material. We’re also very excited to welcome Sally Kaye back to the team for the remainder of the spring!

Updates from the Month

We have added new ArcGIS Pro tutorials for creating GIS datasets—bringing us closer to parity between ArcGIS and QGIS among our different categories of GIS-based activity.

These new tutorials include…

• Creating New Vector Datasets in ArcGIS Pro,

• Digitizing Polygons in ArcGIS Pro,

• Geocoding by Polygons (including how to create a locator) in ArcGIS Pro, and

• a new full-workflow tutorial on Georeferencing imagery in ArcGIS Pro.

Coming Up
